the newly formed Palatka District. He has worked hard to organize and
develop a strong union of churches that work together for the up building of
the Kingdom of God. Pastor Burney now oversees the 9 churches of the
Palatka District. In addition, he also serves nationally as a member of the
Associate Board for the Supreme Council and ahs been a member of the
National Examining Board.
Elder Burney has also been success in obtaining his education. He earned
his B.A. degree in Mathematics from FAMU. He received his Master’s degree
from the University of Florida. To further his education, he attended NOVA
University for a Specialist degree. In 2001, Elder Burney was awarded his
Doctoral Degree through Faith Bible College.
Pastor Burney’s life and ministry are driven by the love he has for God’s
people to prosper spiritually. His mission is to reach the lost and preach the
hope of Christ Jesus as Savior. Moreover, his ultimate passion is for souls to
be saved that people may see God in peace.
Pastor Burney, works with a great team of ministers. They stand by his side
and believe in the vision with him. The Labor's of the Gospel Team works
around the clock to make sure that the ministry of Hawthorne is being brought
out according to the vision at hand. Hawthorne is blessed to have such a
great pastor and team of ministers to preach and teach the word of God.
